 MISSION STATEMENT

 The  IAST  was created to:

• Upgrade equipment knowledge in the diving industry.

• Provide education and training for Repair Technicians.

• Provide a medium of communication between the manufacturers and the repair technicians.

• Set minimum guidelines and standards for our craft.

• Promote safety through education.

• Recognize the repair technician as a professional in the industry.

Since the inception of the Association:

• We have established standards and guidelines for repair.

• We are working with colleges and universities to establish basic guidelines and minimum standards for semester-long repair and service training courses.

• We have expanded our influence working to set the standards for the Caribbean, UAE, and the international community at large.

• The dive industry has taken notice of our efforts and has responded favorably.
